i ran into Piano on the shuttle back to the apartments.
One thing leads to another,
Piano: hey I wanna see your place!
rox: it's a mess
Piano: I'm a guy. it won't be that messy to me.
Rox : ok
I feed him a cookie and milk.
chatting.....
rox: hey I don't have your number!
numbers are exchanged
rox: now the real test is if you know my last name
he knew it but pronounced it wrong
rox: la-tore-reh
piano: la-tore-reh. what is that? european? you're half filipino and half what?
rox: we've gone to the same high school for 4 years and you don't know?! that is sad :P
piano: that is sad :P Ok so, what am I?
rox: filipino
piano: and what?
rox: chinese
piano: damn. (i got it right). ok italian? french? any hints
rox: i'm not south american. and i'm not half korean, another guy guessed that on friday.
piano: i'm just going to say dutch?
rox: no
piano: swedish. lol
rox: no. i'm just filipino
piano: really?! you look half
rox: why thank you!

seven
today was nice.
I went to the Carlsbad Outlet with Architect and Engineer.
Engineer upgraded his wardrobe and
Architect found me a cardigan that was at a great price! :D
I also met Lobo.
an interesting conversation followed
and I think they think I'm odd and a little crazy.
major sadness. hahaha
but earlier this evening was the best.
I was out with IPhone, Dare, and EnV Touch.
I felt like I was accepted with them once again
like all was forgotten and that we're all cool again
lots of RC and RJ jokes being thrown around
to give Dare a hard time.
Dare: "kayla likes me the most"
IPhone: "she's not the only one that likes you the most" :P
rox: i wonder who RJ went to see for graduation
Iphone: dare of course
Dare: nooo
rox: yeah, i think so. he sat near us
oh ho ho
Dare: but were you guys there before he sat down
rox: yep
Dare *cringe*
rox: yeah, he even said hi to dad
Dare *grr* hahaha
IPhone texts: hey are you home?
rox texts: no but Rc & Rj are home.
IPhone knew what I meant but then she also chuckled. haha RC and "RJ" are HOME. haha

age
I found it funny that no one ever knows how old Rejean is exactly.
Even I get it wrong sometimes.
....
She's been hanging out with high schoolers before she was in high school.
I definitely think that's why she seems a lot older than what she really is. hahaha

> 36
I did not go to sleep Wednesday night and was awake for the 24 hours of Thursday and at least 12 hours of Wednesday.
My head feels like a slushie or maybe a slurpee right now.
And after I take some vitamins with lots of vitamin C.
I will go wash the dishes.
And then I will make a ton of ochem flashcards. I shoulda done the flashcard bit a long long time ago. But hey better today, then Monday, the day before the midterm.
It's almost the end of week 7.
INSANE.
For all you going to sun god festival today. I hope you have tons of fun!

weirdness
yesterday was my day of odd bus ride conversations
here was the oddest one
it was 7:30pm and I was taking the shuttle back to my apartment.
the bus filled up very fast but I was able to snag a seat at the very end of the bus.
I'm minding my own business, ipod on listening to panic at the disco with both earbuds in my ears with my backpack in front of me. I'm holding my keys and a small black container.
Then all hell breaks loose. jk.
The guy next to me starts talking to me.
Guy: what's in there? [referring to the round, black container]
rox: Oh I was collecting rolly pollies for bio 100lw. we were doing an experiment to find out what environment they prefer...
guy: I used to be bio. I switched out a couple quarters ago.
rox: Oh, so what are you now?
guy: psych. what are you?
rox: i'm bio [i thought that was already inferred]
guy: no, what ethnicity are you?
rox: ugh I'm filipino. Why, what are you?
guy: Oh I thought you were mixed. I'm just chinese.
....
by this time I'm thinking this is going to be a long bus ride.
guy: so what do you want to do with bio?
rox: a nurse, I think. what do you want to do with psych?
guy: a therapist
rox: that's cool
...
guy: so have you ever been a nurse for halloween?
rox: haha, no.
[oh geeze. this is going to be a long ride, we're not even at the halfway point on the route. he's already wondering if i'm slutty on halloween.]
he continues to ask me where I'm living next year.
When my lease ends.
If I'm still living with my current roomies.
and the ride is almost over
guy: so what's your name?
and so I gave him my name. and asked what his name was.
and when I got off at my stop I was in fear that he was going to add me no fb. He has not done so, so far. lol. I already fb searched him. we have 2 mutual friends.
so weird so weird.

so close
summer is super close
and even though i'll only have 10 days before I have to go back for summer school
I still can't wait for it!
Anyways.
What have I done so far?
I've scoured around my apartment complex for pill bugs (rolly pollies)
and I had to make sure they're not purple (those are infected) and that they completely roll up otherwise they're not of the same species.
sheesh that was hard. I really can't tell what constitutes as a purple pill bug so I settled for removing anything that had weird spots :P.
This hunting was probably one of my most self conscious activities that I have done in college. lol. People passing by wondering why there's a weirdo on the crouched on the ground poking something in the bushes with a stick. ahaha.
And I'm probably going to collect a 2nd batch tomorrow morning, just in case I somehow screwed up.
I also drank a starbucks coffee frappaccino, the store bought kind. I don't really feel wired. How much caffeine are in those things anyways?
Plans for today,
study in the living room with KPOP
go to fashion island later today with Skydive and get a haircut. I also have a desire to go on a shopping spree but I'll refrain if I'm still in trouble with the studying.
then read articles for upper division writing class.
p.s. how did it become week 5? really?! I believe this is the fastest quarter I have ever been in.

snippets
earlier this week i saw an axotlotl, it's a salamander, and it was genetically altered. it glows green under the blacklight!
last weekend. i got 2 'i like your hair shorter, it frames your face'
earlier this summer i got a 'please don't cut your hair'
and earlier this week i got a 'are you going to listen to your friends or your relatives'
on monday i ate korean barbecue with Flower and Skydive and a bunch of other people that are in the same club as Flower.
i forgot to put some mangoes in the fridge.
i'm slowly working on organic chemistry. i don't think i like working with lined paper. when it comes to chemistry. yeah, i really don't time to pull out the computer paper.
i think i get to play scrapbook consultant today :D
i am also thinking about going to michaels and buying a $3 nalgeen bottle. they're like $17 at the bookstore. that's ridiculous!
i want to buy death cab for cutie's narrow stairs
i'm relatively happy that it's friday. just as long as i get work done this weekend, i will be happy :P
i have a twitter. you should get one too
waysgoose fair is tomorrow.
i'm excited to know who's going to my school next year!
it's noon already!?!

wild and crazy
I had a wild and crazy day today but I promise I didn't do anything wild or crazy :P
let's first just list things, shall we? :P
and elaborate on things another time possibly?
woke up at 5am
showered at 6:40pm
8am psych class [1.5 hours]
9:30 molecular biology [1.5 hours]
11:00 organic chemistry [1.5 hours]
12:30 went back to apt
talked to my roomie for a bit. [she's been doing pretty wild things as of late]
did bio upper division writing lab homework
3:30 bio lab lecture [1.5 hours]
5:00 bio lab [2.5 hours] axolotl!
8:00 liwanag [1.5 hours]
had a long list of missed calls
called all those people back
saw my mom! she's been from the philippines. she gave me a bunch of goodies from the philippines too including 2 pairs of eyeglasses, but it's a shame, i think there's already a pair that I KNOW I WILL NEVER wear :P
yeah it doesn't look wild or crazy. i'll spill the details sometime. but parts of it i can't, b/c it's not my story to share.
things i need to do:
study for chem midterm
read for bio quiz
turn in 10 plastic bags for a reusable tote
materials and methods assignment
buy more scantrons
go running tomorrow
go to library tomorrow

wondering
I spent this past weekend with my relatives in LA. It was really nice eating home-cooked food and watching a superhero movie marathon with my cousin. We watched The Dark Knight and Iron Man (twice!). And when they dropped me back off to my apartment they offered that I stay with them for my next school year and told me to tell my parents.
I quickly thanked them for the offer and said I'd pass the word along to mom and dad (they're both in the Philippines right now, they come back this week). This piece of news definitely got me wondering. Become a commuter and save about $6000?! That is definitely something to think about. But if I do that, that would mean driving 60 miles round trip every time I go to school. But if I worked my schedule so that I would only be on campus either 2-3 times a week, that would be good.
Money's definitely tight nowadays. And the less debt, the better.
But is becoming a commuter worth the lesser debt?
Cons:
-30-40min commute one way. tiring. commuting is inconvenient.
-traffic
-8am classes will be ridiculous
-less freedom more or less. I won't be able to just leave on a Friday night and go to a party and come back at 3 in the morning. But then again, I don't even party much.
-more constriction with trying to schedule things
-possibly more distraction
Pros:
-A LOT CHEAPER
-my own room
-possibly less distraction
-filipino food
-i'd probably keep my room a lot cleaner
So I can't think of too many pros at the moment. But price is a HUGE factor. hmmm

whirlwind
Spring break seems so long ago. I'll always remember it as a happy time.
I found one dollar yarn. Bowling with $1 per game. Breaking 100 in bowling, it's been a while since I've been able to do that. Eating sushi that was 50% off. Spending the few moments I had holding his hand and getting a good grasp of his scent. He never smells bad to me even when he got sweaty after debut practice, if anything I could get a better grip on that enticing scent. I don't know, I must be a weirdo or have a weird nose or MAYBE I was a vampire once before. aha. I will remember this spring break as the week that I got bitten by the bug. The Twilight bug. My neighbor and my sisters rented it the Saturday I came back and yes after that I was imprisoned, sentenced to read all four books. I was so consumed by it, that it messed up my sleeping as I read late into the night and woke up early in the mornings to finish them. So far gone was I, that as I'd fall asleep reading, the book didn't end as my mind was creating the rest of the story in my dreams as if someone was reading the book to me. THAT was weird. Sadly I don't remember exactly how the story unfolded in my dreams so I don't know if I have any powers to see into the future like Alice.
But yes. Spring break is over and I can finally put Twilight behind for the time being even though I've been playing the soundtrack nonstop.
Time to begin the new quarter. And I'm wiped out already.
I've signed up for 20 units but I know I'm dropping one class. I just don't know which one to drop.
The classes I cannot or will not drop are Bio 100LW (a bio lab that also counts for upper division writing and it's a lot of work already!) and Bio 99 (molecular biology).
The other three classes are
N110 (neurobiology and behavior) and I find it really really interesting.
P9 (introduction to psychology and social behavior) a GE class that seems to be very doable.
and
Chem 51C (the last chem class that I have to take! yay!)
I'm contemplating dropping the chem and taking it over the summer so that I can just focus on that instead of having to balance it with a bunch of other things.
But if I don't drop that, I think it will be N110.
Yesterday was my 13 hours on campus day.
I had psych, bio, and chem back to back for 5.5 hours. then a break to eat lunch. then bio lab lecture and bio lab back to back for 4.5 hours. then after that I went to Liwanag. And when I was walking to the shuttle stop I saw I had a missed call from home.
I called back and my aunt answered my phone. Something was wrong. My dad was at home too, but why was he home? He's supposed to be at work during this time. And then I learned my uncle had passed away. I was stunned. He had a heart attack while he was asleep. I don't think he was even 50 yet. It took us all by surprise. I'm okay. I just feel really bad for my grandma. She lost my grandpa less than 5 years ago and now she has lost a son. But at least it doesn't look like he suffered or was in any pain and after my grandfather's cancer, that's all anyone can ask for. My dad, my grandma, and my aunt will be going to the Philippines as early as Thursday. And my sisters will be staying with our neighbor during their spring break because my mom's already in the Philippines on a planned visit.
Ups and downs. Twists and turns.

a weird day ensues
So from the time I woke up today till even now, I still feel out of it.
I took a long nap today as well to catch up on sleep from staying up late.
I guess my body is telling me that I'm just not as young as I used to be anymore.
Staying up that late and even sleeping in did not really go in for a speedy recovery.
I felt like my head was kind of swimming in a bowl of jello the whole day. There was no buzzing in my head, it wasn't a hangover. There was no headache right above the eyes, it wasn't a cold. There was no real dizziness, my new eyeglass prescription barely changed from the old one.
So I really don't know what this is.
I have been eating, I'm not low on sugar. I have been drinking water.
I just hope that this weird funk that I am in goes away fast.
I think I'll take a quick nap to prepare for this evening.
In other news, Spring Break!!!
Let's start planning lunch dates and such ^_^
I took a long nap today as well to catch up on sleep from staying up late.

REM cycle
so this morning I suddenly woke up, checked the clock, called Stormwind to see if he was awake already because he has class at 9:30.
*ring ring*
*a regular wake up call*
but it's during this time that I'm going WHOA o.O?
I couldn't really control the movement of my eyes.
And my eyes were going making quick short lines, one line next to another line then all over again on a new row, row after row.
Well that was weird.
So I immediately closed my eyes again and went back to sleep.
DID I JUST EXPERIENCE A REM CYCLE WHILE I WAS AWAKE??!!
or maybe I'm still asleep and think I'm awake :P
because that's where you get your most vivid dreams, during a REM cycle. :P
speaking of dreams. I had 3 really odd dreams the other night. i woke up 3 times in a row, one dream right after another, every hour.
But i'm not going to go into them, they weren't that interesting to me. I miss dreaming like I used to with babies coming out of oranges and where octopus can fly and shape shift into other things. Those were the good old days.
BTW don't worry, I've never been under the influence when I had those dreams. But I kept thinking back then, maybe one of those dreams would give me inspiration and be great enough to turn it into a novel. Being a creative writer would always be cool, just like understanding physics, that would be very cool.
yeah, i probably did not experience a REM cycle awake, but whatever that was, it was a bit frightening, not being able to control where you wanted to look. I'm just glad that when I opened my eyes, the paintbrush/typewriter effect was gone.
Now onto the rest of my Tuesday.
It's WEEK 10!!!
good luck!!!!

hello?
It's 10 minutes to 9:00pm on a Monday.
I decided to call home then, otherwise I wouldn't be able to talk to them for another whole hour later because it's Heroes on Mondays at 9 of course.
*presses 5 on my cell phone, it's my speed dial for HOME*
*ring* *ring* *ring*
GUY ANSWERS: Hello
ME: hello?
GUY: hello!
o.O?? by this time I double back, take a good luck at my cell phone to check if I actually dialed HOME. Yep, it says I dialed home. But it's a GUY answering my home phone?! It's not my dad, he has work at that time. And after my dad, there's no other GUY that is EVER at my house.
ME: mmm Is this the **Tower Residence?
GUY: yes it is.
Who could this guy be?! It's not my uncle who lives in Temecula.
But Oh MY GOSH
ME: UNCLE BRIAN?!!???
UNCLE: yes, hahaha. you seemed quite confused.
ME: yes, i was confused, a guy answered my house phone :P. I didn't know you were visiting.
UNCLE: Neither did your other sister, she saw me and was wondering why I was there.
me: yeah, how did you get there?
uncle: oh I drove here.
ME: yeah, I don't believe that. (he lives in New Jersey, the other side of the country, the side where you can see the Atlantic Ocean, sure he drived to California).
uncle: I did, you can go ask your mom and uncle Temecula.
ME: what?!!! o.O???
UNCLE: yes, one of my friends from NJ is moving out here in CA and was wondering if me and another friend would like to come along and help in driving.
ME: wow. [he actually did drive all the way across the country!]

it's finally hit me
It's finally hit me that I complain and whine too much.
And now that it's already way into the season of Lent.
I will just try this on my own and hopefully it'll last for more than 40 days.
I will try to make sure that if I complain, I can only complain once that day, so I'm definitely going to need to pick and choose my battles so to speak :P.
Or possibly trying to turn my complaint into something else.
Saying, 'why is it SO cold?' is a complaint.
but saying 'i am cold' or 'it is cold' is a statement.
Good luck to you trimester people.
Good luck on studying.
and
Good luck on finals.

party?
crazy things happen when there are drunk people around you.
i wasn't even at the party for that long either, 10 minutes at the most.
I left early because the birthday girl was partied out already by the time I got there.
There were other people there that I knew but I didn't feel like being very social today. Maybe it was because there was so many people in such a small space that you couldn't really move. Or maybe it was because all the people that I did know were huddled around the birthday boy who was on the living room. He's going to be pretty happy in the morning, he was badly doodled with sharpie marker all over his body.
I think I'm party shy or more like awkward turtle at parties. I find them all really uncomfortable but that's probably because I always only know a tiny fraction of all the party goers or because I don't loosen myself with drink.
But for some reason, I feel that if I went to ucsb, it'd be a completely different story. I think I feel that way because I know I'd have a good party buddy everytime.
I guess it's events like those that make me feel a little lonely and always point out to me that Gaucho isn't there with me.
I really can't wait for spring break so I can finally see him and all of good friends. But I know I shouldn't blind sight myself because I first to need to study and get through this quarter.
I've definitely learned a lot from this quarter:
1. do not take over 16 units if they are all science classes. twas a mistake to take 19 units of chem and bio and biomedical engineering and physics plus labs.
2. do not put 2 labs in one day
3. do not schedule labs on wednesday nights because those are the days that the campus shows free movies
4. my bed is my weakness
5. reading should be attempted everyday no matter what
6. read read read
7. i wanted to double major but i will not be able to because bio students here only get 4 years
8. my current goal is to graduate as early as possible
9. going home should be capped to 4 times a quarter.
10. i get jealous of the other things people have, like how they know where they're going, or that there boyfriend goes to the same school as them and sits with them in their girlfriend's lecture that i'm also in so i can't avoid seeing it, but a good friend told me that i can't look at that but i have to look at what makes me special. when i breakdown i have low self-esteem. but one thing i think that makes me special is that i know that my relationship is strong because we've been able to handle the long distance.
11. i really enjoy having my own room. it gets so messy during the week and i'm actually kind of glad that i don't have to worry if i leave a pair of pants on my bed.
12. my productivity goes down to zero when i decide to take a break on my bed

where did the time go?
How is it Sunday already?
How is it 12:40 in the afternoon already?
It makes me sad that all I have to show for my whole Saturday is 12 pages and my closet. oh ochem.

but currently I'm taking a break from that, and reading for my biomedical engineering class...homework's due Tuesday.
one more midterm, one more midterm, let's do this!

i sleep too much
i sleep too much is an understatement.
Today I woke up at 7:07am which was pretty bad considering I have an 8am class and in order to get there on time I have to be on a shuttle to campus at 7:30am. So I showered, ate breakfast and thought it would just be better if I skip it and go to campus at 8:40am for my 9am class. I don't really learn anything in the 8am class anyways.
Earlier this week though, was pretty bad.
I left my car headlights on for over a day and my battery was totally discharged when I checked on it Tuesday night. My poor car, I couldn't even get the driver's side door to lock manually, so I called AAA and they said something's wrong with my alternator so the battery's not going to get charged but they were able to assist me in locking my car up.
Then Wednesday came, my busiest day because I always put off my lab work which should be a sin. So today, my list says to work on my Physics homework and to work on that lab stuff, only then after that will I be allowed to leave the library and go home to eat dinner. So I'll have Friday night, all Saturday, all Sunday, Monday afternoon till evening, and Tuesday morning and evening to study for my Wednesday morning chem midterm.
I'm surprised it's Friday already.
I sign up for classes next week and it's pretty messy. I can't sign up for math classes until adjustment period. And if I take physics next quarter, the lab for it is going to keep me at 17 units and I'd rather take 20 units with a breadth class and no physics than have less units with physics.

23
good morning.
I woke up a few minutes ago to find that I had 23 missed calls last night! o.O
And, no I didn't leave my phone behind last night or anything.
It was just on vibrate and I fell asleep very early on, I'm talking 10 o'clock early!
But now I am awake and man is it COLD.
Happy Tuesday! Let's get some work done.

A friend of a friend
So I'm currently in the basement of the Langson Library with my organic chemistry book open sipping on a tall Vanilla Rooibos Tea Latte from Starbucks [My first taste of it and I like it]. Midterms are approaching, and this library is slowly getting more and more packed as each day passes.
So anyways,
My friend, Triathlon meets up with me on the 5th floor of the Science Library earlier today. We're both half studying for our biochemistry quiz.
and now here we are to the reason why I'm blogging right now.
Triathlon squeals because she just remembered something and she begins to whisper me a story about her roommate [hence the friend of a friend thing].
Triathlon's friend, Tealeaves, was in the Science Library the other day studying for biochemistry and then all of a sudden a boy that she has never talked to her or ever seen before speaks to her.
Boy: I hate you!
Tealeaves: o_O? I'm sorry?
Boy: I hate you because I can picture us being each other's boyfriend and girlfriend but we'd fight a lot but we'd have GREAT make-up sex!
*awkward pause*
Tealeaves: Ugh, I'm sorry I have to get back to studying. [shuffles around with papers and keeps eyes on the book]
Well that was weird and WAY RANDOM! Definitely one of my favorite stories so far this year :P
Hopefully that was entertaining to you as well and now go back to your work!
And now I shall get back to mine and finish up this chapter on Alkyl Halides and Elimination Reactions.

hooray for three day weekends
hooray for 3 day weekends.
they shall be my savior this quarter.
i plan to use this weekend to CATCH UP!
So I feel compelled to post a blog as well now that I have just encountered the beautiful blogs of my friends, Ruth and Rebecca.
1. I have to say I'm not exactly sure what a 'stuffie' is and
2.the title: Naps and Complaints for a blog is a beautiful title, it cracked me up a little, but that's what you get when you are friends with a joybringer :]
3. I now feel guilty about not exercising due to the goals of a fellow RL
4. I did not find the really long blog boring at all. I guess I'm a stalker :P. I like being able to know more about your day without having to talk to you. Just kidding! Please keep blogging though, it's so hard these days to have wonderful catch-up conversations with friends that are all over the place and I do have genuine interest on what's going on with these awesome friends of mine :]
5. Maybe Christian will also feel compelled to write in his blogger :P
Alright, so here's the recap of the past few days since Wednesday morning:
Wednesday:
It turned out be unexpected in a wonderful way. I felt lively and talkative and actually had more than a single conversation with a bunch of people today.
I like people and it makes me happy just to talk.
Here's a couple snippets:
But here's a bit of background first. I have chem labs these days and we basically work in a group of 4 including myself. Chem lab is officially allotted for four hours so yeah, might as well get to know the people you're working with since you're there forever anyways :P
R: So you're Taiwanese, right?
Chem Lab Partner #2: Yes. So, what are you?
R: I don't know, what AM I ?
Chem Lab Partner #2: I dunno, South American?
R: what the heck?! No [I guess he was just picking a random ethnicity, I've definitely never received South American as a possibility :P turns out he just moved to Carlsbad and went to high school in Valencia.]
Beginning of class
Chem Lab Partner #2: Hey, I think you know my friend Betsy Chai [I altered her name]
R: Whoa, I do know her. Did she go to the same high school as you? I just met her this weekend because in her group is my roommate's best friend and they visited from UCSD for the weekend. Wait how do you know I know her? o.O
Chem Lab Partner #2: Yes she went to my high school. I just went randomly on to her facebook and saw that she recently became friends with you. I saw the name, and was like 'oh wait I think that's one of my lab partners!'
….which leads to LATER on in the lab
R: So wait, you SAW my name on your friend's facebook and you DIDN'T ADD ME?!@!
Chem Lab Partner #2: whooops
R: X_-
Thursday:
I woke up, worked a little on physics.
Then suddenly my doorbell rang! Why it was my friend who also went to my high school who lived in the dorm next to me last year and ended up living in the same building as me this year! For anonymity, I shall dub her KETCHUP because that was why she rang my door. She was asking if I had ketchup and luckily I did have some in the sachet form. [I'm the kind of person who does not throw any leftover anything away after eating out. I save the napkins that we took too much of and didn't use and I take the surplus condiments as well. And see! Today definitely proved that it's quite handy.]
Then after that I caught up with my roommate K-POP. It had been a while since I last saw her and said more than a simple hello. She's actually in SD now visiting the friends that visited her last weekend :P
[]physics hw
[]larc adjunct
[]science library to look over more physics
[]physics discussion where we took our quiz.
[]larc for chem. Larc is the campus created tutoring program.
[]biomedical engineering lecture
[]sushi for dinner with some of my small group from Liwanag, the Christian group that I am in from school. We went to an all you can eat one, it was quite pricy but I think I ate enough to make up for it. I ate 8 california rolls, 10-12 shrimp tempura rolls, 1 plate of teriyaki chicken, a small plate full of gyoza, and some shrimp tempura. Boy was I stuffed. And now I think I'm out for the rest of the hangouts with any friends this month, cause I spent too much and need to save money. But yes it was nice and relaxing for the most part.
And here we are now onto Friday:
1. I suddenly woke up and it was 8am. CRAP! [I have 8am chem lec] alright well it's too late for that, I eat breakfast get ready for my 9am class.
2. This blog is taking forever, I'm sorry :P
3. BIOCHEM LECTURE
4. SCIENCE LIBRARY
5. BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING DISCUSSION
6. GATEWAY STUDY CENTER
7. PHYSICS LECTURE: it's really hard to pay attention in this class. The professor is not that great a lecturer and he's hard to understand.
8. SCIENCE LIBRARY FOR 2 HOURS: I casually worked on my BME homework. This was also during the time I received a wonderful IM from JOYBRINGER and STUFFIE [she's stuffie for right now b/c I still don't know what that is. Wait, does she mean stuffed animals!? Oh goodness :P]
9. RETURNED NOTES TO PHARM SCI. RUN INTO IRELAND. She met her boyfriend online I think 1.5 to 2 years ago and he's from Ireland! o.O And somehow they've been able to work out this super long distance! For this winter break she went over there for the first time in Europe as well. And while they were there, the two made a trip to Paris for Christmas! That is so romantic and her I am jealous again :P. BOUGHT A SUB FROM QUIZNO'S. RAN INTO A COUPLE LIWANAG MEMBERS OF MY YEAR. THAN RAN INTO MORE LIWANAG PEOPLE! RETURNED HOME ATE DINNER AND NAPPED TILL 11PM. I think I like running into friends and chatting, what else?!
10. And now my goals are to stay up the rest of the night and work on chem. Woo!
Have a wonderful three day weekend!
p.s. feel free to notify me if there are ways to improve upon this blog
they shall be my savior this quarter.

Woo!
Have a wonderful three day weekend!
p.s. feel free to notify me if there are ways to improve upon this blog

wednesday
Where is the fun in my life?
Why don't I laugh more during the day?
Why can't my classes come more easily to me?
One. I think I am highly undeserving of fun. Yes, people should have fun once in a while but I myself am definitely don't even deserve that fun.
Two. Why? Because I don't work hard enough. I have assignments for lab that I need/should finish before 1:30pm today. And instead of staying up the night and working on them and finishing it I went to sleep instead. So what am I going to do today. I am sacrificing my 3 lectures today in hopes that it is enough time to fully complete my post-lab and pre-lab.
Three. I need to sleep less. I value sleep too much. Yesterday afternoon I met my bio adjunct tutor/professor? And she asked us how much should we be sleeping each night. One of us said 7 hours. Then she said nope, FIVE hours only and that if you sleep over 5 hours then your brain becomes blunt and dull. This evening I actually did sleep around 5 hours. So yes, that is my new goal, to only sleep for 5 hours each night.
Four. The only way my classes are going to come more easily to me is if I read and spend some time reviewing and working on those practice problems. It is my only way, I know it does work, I just sigh at the tediousness of it.
Five. I don't laugh too much during the day, because I am not really around people during opportunities where it's okay to suddenly burst in laughter. When I am on campus, it's usually just lecture and library for me.
Six. I think I'll try and change that and try and have some lunch dates here and there.
Seven. Lets use the weekends to make it less difficult for ourselves during the week. My hardest days are Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. But after Wednesday, I can stop holding my breath and get some new oxygen into my lungs and the rest of my body. Wednesdays are my toughest days because of labs, specifically organic chemistry lab, so much is required of you before you even begin lab. There are lab lectures to go to for making the pre-lab a little more understandable. There is the actual lab. Then there is the post-lab with a 2 page analysis due before you have your next lab. So if I could just work on at least my post-lab on the weekends, it would definitely make the daunting Wednesday arrive a little less daunting than it has been lately. Daunting Wednesdays because it's usually a time crunch due to procrastination to finish and understand my lab assignments.
Eight. Today.
Right now it is 5 in the morning.
I will eat some breakfast. I will hop in the shower. [sometimes I feel slightly dizzy if I shower first than eat and something about eating with a wet head is unpleasant to me.]
First, I will on my BME problem set.
Second, I will work on my post-lab.
Third, my pre-lab. Hopefully what I miss in class today is not too too bad.
Fourth, I will go to physics lab.
Then I will have my 2 hour break which will include my dinner time.
Fifth, I will have the chem lab.
Sixth, come back home, eat something. Wash face. And physics physics physics. To prepare for my physics quiz in discussion tomorrow. Got to ace them all now because last week was a definite no-no.

sunday
It is Sunday morning and I am a little sad.
I am a little sad that school is starting up again tomorrow.
But that's okay, I shall make today the most productive day of this weekend.
P.S. I predict there are two boys in the living room and one boy using my sink.

09
i guess it's time to update.
it is the start of a new year.
it is the start of a new quarter.
it is the start of new classes.
so my classes.
i'm taking 19 units this quarter.
bio
biomedical engineering
organic chemistry
organic chemistry lab
physics
and physics lab
i've basically signed my weekends away.
i'm even contemplating further cutting down on san diego visits. oish.
but anyways the classes right now don't seem too bad right now.
i'm behind already but i'm not too worried as long as i stick to my planner with all the chapters from all the books i need to read and finish that week.
i've already finished chapter one of physics. i must say that i still need more practice on dimensional analysis and that i should just continue reading in order to have a more firm grasp on the subject. i have never taken physics before and i'm just worried about all the things i should already know for the class.
i shall rely mainly on my book because the teacher for that class is really hard to understand.
but other from that teacher i think i like the rest of them.
my bio professor reminds me of mr. torns. same style of attire. same kind of glasses. and same kind of hair!
my chem professor is nice in the sense that he doesn't rush through things.
my bme professor reminds me of the cop in Heroes, Parkman.
and i don't have too many comments yet on my TAs except they all seem pretty cool and chill. woo!
this blog is turning out to be pretty boring i think.
time to add some spice.
so on tuesday at my christian club meeting,
we had a new person added to our little group,
and he was pretty quiet the whole time
until we were done with our group discussion
and he suddenly asks me
"IS THAT AN ALLIANCE SHIRT!"
and BOOM! he became talkative and another group member joined in because apparently he plays wow too.
never would i have thought that i would be talking about world of warcraft in a christian club setting :P
